Retreat Director at White House Retreat

Fr. Anthony Wieck is a Jesuit priest of the Central & Southern province. He is the sixth of nine children, and was raised on a farm in Oregon. Fr. Anthony began religious life in 1994, spending his first five years of formation in Rome, Italy, before entering the novitiate in Grand Coteau.  After completing three missions to various Jesuit high schools in the province, Fr. Anthony was sent to St. Louis in 2017 as retreat master at the White House Retreat Center, on the bluffs of the Mississippi. He also offers spiritual direction at the diocesan seminary in St. Louis. Fr. Anthony’s charisms for retreat work and spiritual direction benefits all who meet with him.

This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone looking to experience the riches and depth of an Ignatian silent retreat. Fr. Anthony will lead us in various meditations and contemplations, focused on helping us learn how to break open Scripture ourselves. It is there and in the liturgy that we encounter Jesus in a most personal way.

The silence of the retreat, coupled with the opportunity for quiet strolls through our beautiful grounds, will facilitate a deep pondering and processing of what God is speaking to us, and where He is leading. An added benefit to this retreat will be that we will learn new ways to encounter our loved ones and more effectively point them to the heart of Jesus.

There will be various moments over the 2 night retreat when silence will be paused to allow for a gradual introduction into this venerable practice of allowing peace and quiet to dwell in your hearts.

Open also to those who have made a silent retreat and those who have not.
